Shine.com is a new job search portal from Firefly e-Ventures Ltd. But how different is it from existing jobs portals like Monster, Naukri, Shine has some new features like shine salary tool. But these kind of tools depends on formula and inputs being used to measure these. Salary tool compares the salary based on industry, specialty, designation, experience,degree. But how can you miss things like Institute name for example. The salary of B.Tech from IIT may be double the salary of B.Tech from ordinary private college. Shine may has ignored this for now due to lack of data, but would be more appropriate to add this in future once they have the data. Shine is now aggressively advertising on mass media i,e Television. All the best to Shine.
