"Apne Videos Bane Paraye": How to control other sites from using our videos

With the massive success of Youtube, many clones of youtube have comeup in India like apnavideos. Not just youtube clones but videos have become part of all social networks like Bigadda, Ibibo etc and portals like bollywoodhungama. Embedding of videos on blogs and website has also become popular. Embedding of videos on webpages is simple and its just copy pasting couple of lines of code. Using this features, comes the content aggregating sites like Movie MAZIC, which embed the videos from various sources. So by embedding the videos on other websites these sites get visibility for example all the embedded youtube videos have the youtube logo on their player. Below is an embedded video from Bigadda

But think what if Movie MAZIC plays the same video from bigadda using its only player. In that case Movie MAZIC will be using all the resources of Bigadda and also not giving them any visiblity. Below is same video as above from Bigadda which is being played in Movie MAZIC player.

Wow!! thats awesome and now we can have all the Youtube vidoes branded any name as it was Movie MAZIC in this case. But wait!! You can't do this with Youtube, Google videos, Megaupload etc. So how do they do this. Flash has a domain policy which allow/deny access to content from other sites which is done by placing a crossdomain.xml file. But seems like Indian Videos sites hardly know about this crossdomain.xml. Bigadda does not have any crossdomain.xml and neither is Apnavidoes. This time Ibibo has crossdomain file which allows access to everyone :)) but can excused as ibibo has grown into videos site yet. Now check youtube crossdomain file here,Which allows *.youtube.com,*.google.com,*.ytimg.com. Hope that Indian Sites will add crossdomain.xml atleast after reading this article. Thanks to Movie MAZIC for helping me in this article.
